Repsol Honda team seems to remain the favorites to win the second series of MotoGP 2011 in Jerez, Spain, this weekend. They give a signal after two pebalapnya, Casey Stoner and Dani Pedrosa, became the fastest in the Spanish Grand Prix first free practice.
Stoner, who at the series premiere in Qatar became champion, recorded the best time of 1 minute 39.551 seconds. He was 0.028 seconds ahead of teammate Pedrosa, who in Qatar had to settle for third place finish.
Behind the Repsol Honda duo exists Ducati rider, Valentino Rossi. These results are fairly good for Rossi, who only finished in seventh position in the series opener. In addition, Rossi had first touched the top three, since making his debut with Ducati in November last year.
Only, the gap created by two riders in front was too far away. If the dispute is only 0.028 Pedrosa with Stoner, Rossi adrift then 0.526.
The position of the four inhabited Gresini Honda rider Marco Simoncelli. This spiky-haired Italian rider winning over world champion Jorge Lorenzo (Yamaha), which must be satisfied in the order of five. The next position is filled Andrea Dovizioso (Repsol Honda), who had fallen on the curve 11 on the last lap, followed by Ben Spies (Yamaha), Colin Edwards (Yamaha Tech 3), Randy de Puniet (Pramac), and Nicky Hayden (Ducati), who complete the composition of the top 10 this exercise.
Record for most victories at the Spanish GP was held by Rossi, who won six times here during the show in the premier class. Meanwhile, Stoner did not have a good record at the Jerez circuit because of the nine appearances, the Australian rider on the podium only once number three in the 2009 season.
